I know I promised a long post tonight but things happen.

I went up to the Veterans hospital tonight to see my granddad and to say my final goodbyes. The doctors up there are not going to help him anymore and as a family we are letting him go in peace. My granddad has been through a lot in his life and he has lived it to the fullest and then some. I love my granddad and it will be tough on our family to see him go, but we will be rejoicing knowing that he is going to a much better place, a place we all hope to see him again. And when we see him, he will be alright, and happy. I pray that he goes in peace and in comfort, which he will, and he will probably be smiling all the way home. Good night, and God speed...

"...Grieve not,
nor speak of me with tears,
but laugh and talk of me
as if I were beside you...
I loved you so -
'twas Heaven here with you"

"...we do not want you...to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep with him." 1st Thessalonians 4:13-14
