I'm Back

Last night I went to eat at Kabuki. For those of you who don't know, its a Japanese style restaurant, much like Benihana's. Well, at my table there was my friend, a young couple, and a young family of four. Throughout the dinner there was little conversation, but eventually everyone warmed up to each other and conversed amongst each other. Well the father of the family of four was talking to the young couple and found out that this guy had recently returned home from fighting the war in Iraq and talked about his future plans. I didn't hear everything that was said, but I guess that they talked about how he was going to try and get his degree. As the dinner progressed nothing much more was said, probably because of everyone was enjoying the food. But, when it came time for our checks the father called the waitress over to him and he told her something. It turns out that this man and his family wanted to express their thanks to this young man and his date for his service and sacrifice to our country by doing something as little as paying for his dinner. WOW. Now, their dinner probably would have cost the couple somewhere around 50. I didn't really realized what was going on until the young man expressed his thanks for the fathers act of kindness.

My whole reason for telling you about this is to help us all remind ourselves that there are young men and women fighting a very vicious war over there and that we should help out these hero's as much as we possible can. I don't know if you have friends or family over there, but the odds are against you to not have at least some one you know. I only have one. Recently his mother sent out an email that was eerily disturbing to me. I won't go into detail about it,but, please remember that these service men and women need all the help that they can get. Please remember to pray for them, for their enemy, our leaders, and our country. And don't forget to remember how blessed we truly are.

In other news, and completely changing the subject....
Last night was my first time to eat at Kabuki in three years. Man, its good.

Oh, and I like my new job...just won't go into detail on the web about it.

Y'all have a good weekend!
