this just in...
Yeah, its not my medicine (at least i hope not, i don't know what i would do with out it, anyways...) my end of the semester procrastination has taken my day over and i'll officially stop my homework for the night. i had planned on finishing up an entire class all in one day, but i'll have to do that in the morning i guess, and then start my 10-12 page research paper after that...you would think that human resource management would sound like an interesting class to take..but its really not and i don't know why i would need a class such as this. not that i know what i want to do with my life, but i definitely know that i don't want to be a human resource manager/or anything to do with it (sorry Casey__your job must really suck at the hospital, but i know you like it so i wont knock you anymore) . this semester has been really well for me, so at least i can say that before i go and hide behind my computer for the next couple of days. my goal is to have this paper finished by sunday. I will have this paper finished by sunday, i will, i promise myself. I can do it, and i don't want to put it off any longer. I hate the fact that a paper is weighted so much and it really just proves how well you can research something. i know that sometimes i can prove my intelligence in other ways, but professors choose to be really stupid and assign these massive projects and then probably don't read them. Anyway, i'm babbling really bad right now. But I'll say this, sometimes music just soothes your soul, or your mind, whatever you want to say. BUT, sometimes it just hits the spot, no matter how many times you have heard a certain song or if its brand new, it can take you away and make you not think about things that you don't want to be thinking about or whatever, anyways...i'm in that mode right now, the one where i am just chillin with the iTunes library open and on random, its awesome...RB

Tonight
Staind (not to forget: P.O.D.,Taproot) tonight...it should be a pretty good concert. I know that some people would (and could) argue that Staind is just a product of corporate radio...well, blah, blah..blah. I can't stand it how so many people out there complain about music. they always argue that these artists are just out there to make money and be famous. really? and some band that is small and "indie" isn't trying to do this? i mean really, how do you argue with these idiots?, do you think that some band like staind didn't start out small and try to save the world just like (insert any up and coming indie type band here)? Now, just because a band like Staind had a couple of hits songs, they are now looked upon as complete crap (sure, some songs are pretty lame, but name a band that hasn't produced some bad). I'm not going to sit here and say that Staind is the greatest band out there because they aren't. They have some really good loud music and I for one am happy that they are willing to come to Amarillo and I will pay my 30 something for a ticket anytime some band is able to come here and share their music. Oh, and the highlight of my night will be Southtown (P.O.D), it will rock my face off (if that makes sense). A close second will be Mudshovel, geez, just thinking about it could take over Southtown...how about i write back and let you know

this is an interesting article i found...
Entire Family Beats Child-
College Station, Texas - A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a Brazos County courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a courtruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. Whenthe judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Texas Aggies, whom the boy firmly believes are not currently capable of beating anyone.
