IF there is anyone out there reading this blog, please make a comment every once in a while. I have it were you can make a comment as a member or if your not a member. I just want to know if I am wasting my time or not. THANKS

OH Boy

So this morning I went to Roasters to get some tea. I didn't care what kind of tea I got, so they suggested some type of orange flavored green tea. It was alright, but the best part of it was the massive buzz i received from this drink. When you haven't had a coke in almost a month and the only caffeine that you get is from a glass of ice tea you have with dinner every night, watch out. I think the lack of caffeine with the combination of my "concentration pill" just did me in because I felt so good that I thought I was going to be sick. My doctor has warned me of this side affect. The first couple of days I took this pill it was like I was high for the entire day (trust me, I'm one of the few out there that has never been "high" off illegal drugs before, but I know the difference) . Anyways, I've had the same reaction before. One day last semester, it had snowed a lot and I had a cup of coffee before I left for school and on the way to school I picked me up a Mocha from Roasters. Well, I had a Economics exam. I couldn't concentrate one bit. It sucked so bad. I had to read every test question like 5 times just to try to understand what it was asking. Anyways, it was strange that medicine that should help you concentrate did the exact opposite. Luckily, I didn't have school today and I was at work when all this happened.

Speaking of work, we are moving tomorrow. It should be nice to move into a new office, but this office has been like a second home to me. I been working here for three and a half years and it will be weird to just pick up and leave all of a sudden. BUT, don't worry, I'll get over it.

I'm a new man!

I went to the doctors office on the fifth of January and I weighed in at 219. Today, at the same doctors office, my official weigh in was 204! I did this by quitting cokes (Dr. Peppers to be exact) and by working out more. I really haven't been able to do much lifting of weights because of my schedule, but every night I do the elliptical cross-trainer for 20 minutes and then the tread mill for 20 minutes. I also started drinking tons of water because my mom read that for every 10 pounds that you weigh, you should drink 10 ounces of water. Now, I know that sounds crazy, and is crazy, but, I've been able to drink about 100-150 ounces every day since I heard this news (I'm very lucky to work in a place that has free purified water). Anyways, by not drinking cokes and working out more, I have vastly improved my stomach situation for the time being (it could also be my new medicine, but I won't go into details on how that might have helped because its nasty)

I'm pretty sure that this drastic weight loss is due to less cokes/more water, but it could also be to the fact that I keep burning all these calories while I scan. Like I've said before, SCANNING IS FUN!

Well, I just wanted to let yall know that I had just wrote one of my very best entries ever, and then for some reason it didn't post. SO, screw it, talk to yall later

It's Always Something...

So, I was driving around town this morning (working) and I noticed that my car was really acting weird. It was like my emergency brake was being thrown on every time I would slow down or come to a stop. So I took it to Kwik Kar and low and behold it's my brakes (who would have imagined considering the symptoms). Anyways, it seems like I can't go a month without having to get something fixed, It's Stupid - GOSH!

Workin

I was asked to come in to work at 9 a.m. for the next couple of weeks while our office is in the transition of moving from our old office to our new office. Of course, the only thing that i'll be doing while here is scanning old appraisals into our large digital database. Scanning is fun!

So expect a lot more posts.

Quotes

Another quote from my Boston Terrier daily calender -

"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man." - Mark Twain

And another great quote from Randy Moss -

When asked if he had wrote the check for the $10,000 fine and he said that he doesn't write checks and then the reporter asked how he is going to pay for it -
"Straight cash, Homey"

Our office will be moving to a brand spanking new building here "in the next 10 day to 2 weeks." I'm pretty excited about being in a new building because it will be spotless. Anyways, I've been put in charge of scanning all of our files from 1980-92. That may sound like fun and seem simple, but its thousands of files, so it gets very old. I have been scanning for nearly 4 months now and i only have about 1,000 or so left. Today I have become extremely hungry while scanning so I went to our little snack box and bought some Twizzlers. I thought that they would do the job, but unfortunately 30 minutes later I found myself back at this box searching for something that would taste good and no be too heavy on my stomach. SO I bought me some Junior Mints, and I don't know how any person can eat these without thinking of Seinfeld.

So I'm just sitting here pigging out on junk food and listening to my iPod while I work...What a job.

Not much

Well, i don't have much to say tonight except for the fact that i start school again in the morning, well, its kinda the morning, first class is at 11. I actually have a decent out look on this semester. I feel like im going to go out and dominate it because i no longer have any math or anything pertaining to it left on my schedule.

Also, if anyone enjoyed my previous post about randy moss, then i would like to brag that i beat one of my favorite bloggers to the subject. If anyone out there really wants to read a good blog, then try out Mark Cubans

I can't believe all the flack that Randy Moss is receiving for his endzone celebration that he had in the fourth quarter Sunday against the Packers. All he did was act like he was mooning the crowd. OH MY GOSH, that is so freakin bad. But not really, all he did was have a little fun with the crowd. Joe Buck immediately made an apology that it was shown on Fox's broadcast. I mean, please, it's not like he actually pulled his pants down. And if he did, it would have just been a little man ass, and it's not like there is enough man ass in the world. No, I'm just kidding, but seriously, there are plenty of TV shows that already show a mans buttock area and don't get any complaints. Also, many movies out there always seem to throw men's butts in to the movie, and for no real reason. All I'm saying is that the world is too afraid and up tight and that TV stations really need to grow some balls (i.e.- ABC and T.O. on MNF)

Speaking of Randy Moss, did any one out there see his interview after the game?
It was hilarious. He straight up told the reporters that they are idiots and that he doesn't give a flip what they think. The best line was when he was sitting there with his giant fro and he noticed one of the reporters that was from his home team's town of Minneapolis. He said something to the effect of, "Hey, aren't you that reporter from Minneapolis?" And the poor reporter said, "Yes." Randy replied by saying something like "Well, I read your article about me last week and I think your full of shit(of course it was bleeped out by ESPN)." I loved it. My favorite team is the Vikings though, so maybe I'm a little biased, but I don't claim to be the best journalist out there.

Phase 2

Well, so much for watching 24. For some reason my vcr recorded pbs, it was a nature show about volcanoes, VERY interesting, but not worth watching. Anyways, the mag cirtrate was horrible, tasted totally different then the first time i got the opportunity to indulge in it at the hospital. Now its time to initiate Phase 2. Don't think anyone out there really wants to know whats next, but lets just say it will not be any fun.

Well, have a good day tomorrow, I'm pretty sure I won't.

Dogs

I got a Boston terrier daily calendar for christmas and they have quotes under each picture, here is one of them -
"Scratch a dog and you'll find a permanent job."
Ain't that the truth.
I got a wedding tonight, then hopefully some poker - what a great combination.

school sucks

Well i officially changed my major today from Management to General Studies. I can't believe i wasn't already on this plan because it looks like it will be very beneficial to me and my adventures in school. Since i hate school so much and because i am not any good at it, hopefully, this will help me get my act together so that i can graduate sometime soon (atleast 3 more semesters it looks like) and then i can enter the "real world." The "real world" will be fun because the way things are going now, I'll have a real job maybe by the time I'm 25. YES! But, unfortunately, it will probably be by the time I'm 28.

I get my car back tonight and i can't wait to see it since all the hail dents have been removed and the place threw in a free detail for me, so it will be oh so clean. Of course, it will probably rain tonight (its not in the forecast, but panhandle weather + my luck = crazy), but i don't care, cause atleast the inside will be spotless.

Ok, so maybe not

WELL that national championship game was a joke. Looks like I'm not good at picking wins or scores in games, oh well. I thought that the pac10 was over rated before this game, and yet still i don't feel like its that great, but USC is.

I guess only good part of the night was the halftime show. Did anyone notice that Kelly Clarkson was introduced as Ashley Simpson? I thought that was hilarious, but then came the best thing in the history of halftime shows(the Janet Jackson boob really wasn't that interesting). When Ashley Simpson finally finished her "punk" POP song, the entire stadium booed her. And she so deserved it, she is not talented and is just riding her sisters coattail. I really cannot believe that people think that Ashleys music is punk, she is just a wannabe, but i have to give her some credit because she is making a ton of money doing absolutely nothing.
Must be nice. Yall have a good day tomorrow.
My Tahoe has been in the shop since monday morning getting the hail damage fixed that it recieved back in June. So in turn, I have been driving my Ol' 88 Chevy Silverado single cab long bed pick-up truck. This truck was my first car and fortunately(and unfortunately) i have been able to keep it along with my other car. I use it for my mowing business that i operate during the nicer times of the year. But, its really not a very useful car just for driving, which i do a lot of for my other job. This truck has been to hell and back, i really couldn't count how many time it has been in the shop to be fixed for things that most people wouldn't think could go wrong with a car(atleast i have never had a wreck in it). But anyways, i'm trying to get to the fact that I really can not stand driving this car. I don't know what it is that i am missing most about my tahoe: either its the ease of driving, or its my XM radio. It would be safe to say that it is both. If yall have not listened to XM, then you should, and then you should purchase it because it is the best thing out there (Forget Sirius, i think it sucks, just look at the number of subscribers of XM compared to Sirius(sorry Howard Stern, you made the wrong decision, but best of luck)). Well, im headed home cause i can't stand this heat that is coming straight down on the back of my neck here in my office. What is it, like 80 degrees in here?

oh yea........ Orange Bowl is tonight - OU24 : USC 20
or maybe i should just say: Orange Bowl Champion - OU - Im not good at predicting scores, just games.

im getting tired

For every one that was expecting a post last night i apologize. Unfortunately, i was wasting my time playing Texas hold'em till 3:00 in the morning. Well, i really wasn't wasting time because i was having fun, but i kept getting great cards and everyone seemed to know that i was getting them so therefore i wasn't really allowed to bet too much and try to win the game. That game can take forever! My popular cards were Ace-King, usually suited. In the end, i got too tired and just kept going all in and winning or losing, but eventually losing. And the stupid thing was that i had a 8:15 doctors appointment. I'm getting tired of doctors, and im only going to get to see more in the near future. Monday i get to go to the hospital so that the doctor can look at my insides! YEA! But atleast its not as far as they went in May, and ill get to be going home that day instead of spending a whole week there like in May. My doctor today said depending on my results monday, I'll probably be headed to Dallas sometime soon so i can see a specialist. Can yall believe it? A 22 year old who already takes 20 odd pills a day, gotta love it. Anyways, im at work right now so i better get back to it. And could someone please turn off the heater that is flowing directly over my head and making me sweat?

Music

So I recently purchased the new incubus live @ red rocks concert DVD. This band has been one of my favorites for a while now and this DVD just "rocks." Of course, because concerts cant last forever, there has been some of my favorite tracks left off but other wise this is a must have for any rock music fan. I already bought the morning view DVD a couple of years ago and it also is great to watch over and over again. I really don't buy movie DVD's, I prefer music DVD's because they put fans in the best seat in the house just in case you couldn't make it to the concert.
On the topic of music...
I bought me an ipod right before thanksgiving and I just love it. These devices really are a must for any music fan that just has too many cds to carry around but always want to listen to music. I don't know how many of yall out there have one, but im going to guess some of you do since they really are awesome. Some people like to go to sleep with their TV on, but I choose to listen to my ipod almost every night before bed. I would like to share with you a playlist on my ipod that I continuously listen to every night, I call it SLEEPER.
Afraid of the dark - Cooder Graw
Feelin' good again - Robert Earl Keen
The Nurse who loved me - A Perfect circle
3 Libras [(feel my ice dub(remix)) off aMotion, not eMotion] - A perfect Circle
Canon - Various Artists (off The Most Relaxing Classical Music Ever (on iTunes))
Aqueous Transmission - Incubus
Air on a G String - Various Artists (TMRCME)
Now, I know some of you out there are sayin, "That there is a wide range of music," well, it is, but let me tell you, it can just knock you out. I really like that order too, it seems to flow in the right direction. If you have an ipod, try out some of these songs and see how good it will make you feel before sleeping all night.

crazy day

Well, so much for the aggies beating the hell outta tennessee. Seems like they forgot how to play during their month long break. I'm not really blaming that, but, college football really needs to do something about their postseason play. Sure, the bcs works for whoever get in because of the large monitary pay out for the winners, but if the NCAA would set up a 8 team playoff i think they would see some more interest in the postseason. The only real downside to a playoff system would be that some schools loyal fans would not be able to travel to every where in the country to see their team play, but thats really not that bad. Of course, the money hungry BcS commishioners try to back up their "genious" plan by saying that it is the best way, but all they want is to leave their mark on history and so far that plan has backfired. they need to do something soon....Back to the crazy day theme i was trying to start. The texas game was great, and i was really happy they won. I think that if vince young just did more like he did tonight he would be unstopable, just like my thoughts on reggie mcneil. The offense coaches down there in college station really need to focus on making some more running plays for reggie because he is more explosive then young, atleast i think so.(he's my pick for heisman next year) anyways, after having my aggies lose and then the longhorns play one for the ages, i was having mixed feelings about my day. But, some of the best news ive heard in a long time came right at the end of my night. One of my best friends asked his longtime girlfriend to marry him, and of course she said yes. I really like it when the right people get married for the right reasons(unlike so many others that just waste their time) because it just reminds me that there is good in this world. I was so happy for them even though i knew it was going to happen at any moment. So i hope yall all had a good day.

yeehaw

Next to valentines day, i think new years eve is one of the worst holidays out there. Sure, you get to see a lot of friends from the past, but when it strikes midnight it can be one of the loneliest feelings if you dont have anyone for the "special kiss". Anyways, Cooder Graw was great and i had a good time cause besides Robert Earl Keen, CG is the only entertaining and worthy country music that is good to listen to for this texas boy. hope yall had a good evening, i gotta get up early enough to see aTm beat the HELL outta tennessee.
